HECTORS DOLPHINS

We got on the boat and motored off . We stopped at a main reserve .The gaye gave us some pellets that we feed to the blue cod.
After that we went and saw a salmon farm. There were some seal too.
The next thig we saw were some Hectors Dolphins. They were so cool. There were even two babies or calves. The lady said that when the babies are inside their mum they are folded up. It was amazing.

Sting rays

We paddled over to the other side of the bay. We were looking for sting rays on the Stand Up Paddle Boards.
When we got there we saw a massive eagle ray. It was about 2 metres long. It could swim so fast . I looked behind me by Huntah. I thought I could see one. Iwent over to it .
When I got to it I thought it was a rock but ... when Huntah touched it with his paddle it shot off. It was so cool.

Mussels at Mistletoe Bay

Mussels at Mistletoe Bay
We sprinted to the jetty expecting lots of sea life. We were right!
Crabs, fish, mussels and squid. The whole lot.
As we jumped into the water we could see fish every where. Big ones ... little ones ... black ones and brown ones. It was amazing how many fish species there were.
Then we saw them ... mussels the size of a weka. They were big, green, doing nothing ... just sitting clinging to the wall. We swam down to them .We pulled and pulled but they wouldn't come off. So we twisted them and wisted them and they finally came off .They were absolutely massiv te.

My goal was to use good description by choosing interesting words.

Swimming in Picton

Splash.
Me, Tyler, Hannah, Johnny and Huntah jumped into the water. We swam for what felt like forever .
We finally got to the pontoon to jump off.
When we dived to the bottom we could see some star fish. They were massive. I dived down and got one. I threw it up onto the pontoon .We all thought it looked so cool. We put it back in but it landed upside down .Hannah dived down and put it right side up again.
We dived down to get other one when Johnny said the anchor was moving. We looked over to it.
It was a sting ray. We scrambled back to shore. It was so scary!

2015 Triathlon Writing

Bang! Thunder and ... Sprint!
The cap gun exploded!
As we came onto the road, the excitement wore off. We sprinted away down the road. I was so relieved when I finally got to Tyler. I tagged him and he shot off like a  missile.
But I knew the hard part was yet to come; 78 metres of hard out swimming. Tyler came off the road in 3rd place.
He tagged me but the Kimbolton team was right behind us. I sprinted to the pool and hopped in. I swam and swam right to the right end.
Tyler and I sprinted to the finish line. We came 3rd!
