Deer hunting

We were at Jock's place at about 4:30 pm and me, Tyler, James, dad and Jock had just left the hut to go and shoot a deer. It was a long walk through all the bush. After about half an hour we came across some recent deer signs on a rocky slip.
When came on to the tussock we could see lots and lots of deer prints and poo.We rounded a corner and there they where. Two stags right on the bush line.
After about 3 minutes of watching them, the first shot was fired and then a second. Then 3 hinds and a faun came out of the bush and ran across to the other side. We stopped for a minute and caught our breath. Then we started the very difficult way through the bush to get the deer.
We had to bush wack through the bushy gully that was riddled with stinging nettle.
Finally we found the deer on the hill. We gutted it and pulled it down to the finish line.
We cut off its head and started to walk up the hill. That took us about 1 hour and 30 minutes.it was extra hard for me because the head that i was carrying had a muggril antler. when we had finale got back to the ,mum had made some bugers. in the moring we toke the moter bikes and got the traler we piked up the deer carkis.when we got back to the howes we cut out the iner filits and sent the rest to the bucher.

Mushrooms

As the sun rises the mushrooms rocket up. Hundreds of colors grow where the wood mouse stores supplies for winter. Mushrooms shoot up like little space ships.

Fishing on the dam

I went fishing at Bourkies dam.  When we got there, it was about 2.30pm.  We fished in the blistering hot sun for 3 hours with no luck at all.  Finally, we found the fish feeding on the surface in some part of the deep dark cool water.  I cast my line and whamo I had a fish just like that!  I battled with it for about 20 minutes, finally I got it on land.  It was about 1 1/2 pounds, I was thrilled.  When we got back to the car, we had a hot chocolate.  When I was doing some practice casting, I figured out that some perch were following the lure.  After about 150 casts, James finally caught one.  We were going to put it back but it had got hooked in the gills, so we had to keep it.  When we got back, we pan-fried it, it tasted so good.  Dad said that perch were the best fish for fish and chips.
Sizzle, sizzle, went the fillets of fish in the frying pan.  The golden crispy skin made my mouth water. The white fillets glowed in the golden colour of the oil - yum!
